Quiet Reading | chalk pastel

This piece merges the spying I did (the binoculars and mountain painting) with the total relaxation I found in my old bathroom during the winter with the space heater on.   

This is the first and only appearance of Gillene ("Oh that healthy sheen!") aftershave in  my pieces.   

Also, the checkered tile floor didn't exist at the time when this piece was done (the floor was carpeted). But since then, our bathroom has been remoldeled and, yes, a checker floor was one of the changes. Somehow I foresaw this.
