I loved your pictures. I just spent 3 months in Jingdezhen at the pottery workshop and am homesick for the place! I, like you, took many pictures. There is a surprise and delight around every corner. : a mom shampooing her daughter out on the sidewalk and making silly shapes with the shampooed hair, child giggling… several people and 2 chickens on one electric scooter…..piles of porcelain hands used for making latex gloves…..wonderfully tended vegetable gardens…. but mostly I miss the people I came to know. Agatha, Penny, Maggie, and the guys over at the kiln I visited everyday with my work….Kiln Man, Glaze Man, Jigger Man and Carry Man and his Lovely Bride. I miss the Chimneys. I miss the busrides and the fake antique market. Thanks for the memories..

These are the most amazing photos! You have such a gift. We’re off to Jingdezhen on Friday… thanks for this inspiration. We’ll be visiting Wu Yuan and then on to Qingyuan as well.

Love the cart full of Maos. The verdant pit reminds me of Pan’s Labyrinth for some reason — i’m sure it’s a toilet or something but it looks like the entrance to another world.
