A Weekend Outside

If life was a highway over the weekend, I rode it all night long. Things were going my way. And due to this, I drove it all night long.

Photographic proof:

Shattered window of an abandoned store.

Bus depot from above.

“DRIVE SLOW” wrote the zombies.

Printing ink.

Drying print.

Letterpress blocks at San Francisco Center For the Book.

Ready for printing.

Bikes on a fence outside a craft fair.

A sampling of hipsters.

Dog on a journey.

Horse shoe on wall.

Crossing the 280 and looking towards downtown.

Old firehouse in the Dog Patch neighborhood.

Painted walls in North Beach.

Palm tree and Pacific Heights seen from Fort Mason.

Sun setting over Aquatic Park.

Off the Grid food cart event, Friday nights at Fort Mason. Delicious and crowded.

Steps.

Golden Gate Bridge and Ft. Mason at sunset.

My pork belly ramen from Hapa Ramen’s stand.

The crowds at night.

The dome at the Palace of Fine Arts.

Algae and supposedly carnivorous frog-infested Lilly Pond in Golden Gate Park.

Wavy leaves near the pond.

A prehistoric-feeling, ferny path.

Jazz combo practicing in the steps of a pedestrian tunnel near the Conservatory of Flowers.

Trumpet man.

Moth on lavender.

Kimchi in the sun at the open house to the recently renovated Veteran’s Hospital in the Presidio. You can now life there, rather than die.

The front of the finished building.

Inside Fort Point at the foot of the Golden Gate Bridge.

Spiral stairs.

An old gun mount.

Where wall meets water.

Looking under the bridge.

The secluded beaches along the Presidio. Notice the nudity in the rocks.

Sail boats.

What I hope is a temporary structure over the Pet Cemetery.

Strawberries and tomatoes from the Ft. Mason farmer’s market. Not pictured: greens, and some awesome plums.

Rusty Toyota.

Caution: gay rocks outside a massive book sale at Ft. Mason.

A quiet backyard in the Mission was host to a dinner party for the Jewish Sukkot.

Plants.

Rotting quinces.

Assembling the sukkah.

Cutting decorative fruit.

The final decorations, hung. Time to eat.

Gimme gimme gimme gimme yeah!
