Return to Coyoacán, Strutting Around the Palacio Postal and the Diego Rivera Murals of Secretería de Educacíon Publica, Working

Last Thursday, J and I took a long subway ride to explore the Viveros de Coyoacán. For reasons I couldn’t understand, no photos were allowed. Despite the long explanation from the guard, the most I could decipher is that I needed a permit or something that I could get from one of the gates.

The gardens were beautiful. Groves of trees separated by shady paths. Tame black squirrels. Joggers. Practicing matadors. Rather than get a permit, I decided to take an incognito photo or two.

On Friday, J and I explored the beautiful Palacio Postal and Secretería de Educacíon Publica. I got my fill of golden flourishes and Diego Rivera murals.

In the early afternoon, I split to go over stuff with the director for the pre production meeting that day.

Over the weekend, I had full days of shooting a commercial. Luckily there was a variety of locations, which offered variety to both the spot and were I was sitting for hours and hours.

Saturday was spend in the old part of town and at a massive low rent apartment complex.

Sunday, I woke before dawn to get to the first location. Then a park. The rest of the day was spent inside, just as the skies broke with well-timed rain. Our day ran long, but otherwise smoothly.

I’m very excited to share what I’m working on when it’s done. It’s going to be great, great like this massive city.
