Delicious Mammary Secretion and Oat Dessert!

Many moons ago, I took a break from feathering in Fuxing Park and went to a convenience store to buy some cold tea and a dessert. I settled on a white bar that ended up being a delicious, milky shaft with bits of wheat that encased a gooey center of thickened goo. I would like to say that I didn’t go back to buy a second one, but that would be inaccurate. The truth is far more shocking: I bought another one.

Since those two bars, I’ve worked hard to fight my craving. It’s pretty easy to do when things are busy at work and you swallow enough construction dust during the bike commute. Then on Sunday, I discovered them in my grocer’s freezer, smack in the middle of the bean bars. They’re called Meiji Brand Creamy Oats Delight. For a small box of six, it was a surprising high 26RMB($4).

Once I got the box home, I examined it for the anything to justify the premium price. Fancy package? No. Exotic ingredients? Nope, just colostrum and oats. Wait, what?

I assumed colostrum was just a funny translation of milk, but according to my sources:

If drinking cow’s milk is weird, then drinking the antibody engorged first milk of a new mother cow is a step weirder. This rarer milk must drive up the price, not to mention the deliciousness.

Back then had I known I was eating frozen colostrum, I still would have eaten it. I just might not of had two.
