Ego Boosted

The colorful leaves are falling and mucking up the streets. Winter is coming.

In ego boosting news, apparently I’m an “emerging talent” in the eyes of an ad industry rag called Adweek. You can read the full article here. I think my career so far is best summarized by the following:

The 27-year-old Dallas native, who graduated from the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, Calif., in 2001, says he tried advertising “out of desperation” to make money.

It must be sure indicator that the ad industry is headed for collapse if I get praised for doing nothing. But if you think of the semantics of the title, I’m not actually successful right now, rather coming out of my turtle shell. Have you ever seen the body part of a turtle? There’s a good reason for him to be in there.

That’s not me on the cover. Though he must be a long lost relative.

A few people have wondered what my office looks like. This tour’s for you, J. Alba:

My door and glass wall of privacy Dordles.

Detail of door.

In honor of the Adweek mention

My desk and expensive chair.

Jealous much?
